Supported by the Chua Foundation, ADA is excited to introduce ‘Journey with Arts & Dementia’ or ‘JADe’ for short. The JADe programme is an extended initiative from our current Arts & Dementia programme which is catered to persons with dementia enrolled in our daycare centres.
As the prevalence of dementia increase, to maintain the quality of life for persons with dementia and their families, non-pharmacological treatments and other reminiscence engagement approaches are essential. With JADe, we hope to start empowering trained art practitioners, volunteers and direct care staff with an ultimate aim to reach out and benefit more persons with dementia and their families.

If you are keen to participate in JADe, it is mandatory to complete Part 2 of the training. Do note that subsidies are available and prices indicated are inclusive of GST. Those who participate will also receive a complimentary reminiscence start-up kit (See main photo).

PART 2 (MANDATORY)
A. Classroom Training

Conducting Reminiscence Arts Activities for Seniors with Cognitive Impairment and Dementia (Basic level)
Cost : $585 per participant (Before subsidy)
B. Attachment
Venue: ADA daycare centre
Half-day attachment with existing Reminiscence Arts & Dementia programme
C. Practicum, Coaching & Assessment
Venue: Applicant’s centre/ community
Participants will proceed to conduct a JADe programme at their own care setting or in the community within 3 months
(4 sessions over 4 consecutive weeks)
