On 26 April 2023, Dementia Singapore held its second Charity Networking Dinner at Suntec City Sky Garden that brought together individuals from various backgrounds and industries in support of the dementia cause. Following last year’s successful debut run, this year’s dinner saw a great turnout of over 100 attendees, including our CEO, Jason Foo, board and committee members, donors, and partners. With everyone’s generous contributions, an impressive total of over $100,000 was raised.
The festivities kicked off with a welcome address by our Director of Fundraising, Sherwan Sharip, and was followed by a speech by our CEO, Jason Foo.
Highlighting the key areas in which support is especially crucial for our dementia community, CEO Jason emphasised, “The need to support our community of healthcare professionals and home-based and family caregivers is imminent. And, of course, empowering our persons with dementia to live with dignity, purpose, and hope continues to be at the heart of all that we do.”
He added that in light of the growing dementia population in Singapore, the collective efforts and continued support of everyone in attendance are paramount in helping to advance the dementia cause.
With warmed hearts, everyone proceeded to tuck into a delectable buffet spread of local delights as they mingled and chatted away amiably. It was indeed the perfect opportunity to socialise and form valuable connections with like-minded guests. The lively ambience was kept up throughout too, as the live band belted the highs and strummed the night away.
To all our distinguished guests, Dementia Singapore conveys our heartfelt appreciation for contributing to the night’s undoubted success! It is with your unwavering support that we can make steady headway in our pursuit of a society that is truly supportive of those impacted by dementia.
