About This Course
Caring for a person living with dementia can involve changes in memory, communication, behaviour and everyday abilities. Understanding why these changes happen can help caregivers respond more confidently and appropriately.
In this course, participants will learn practical ways to recognise signs of dementia, look for possible reasons behind behaviours, and use simple approaches to respond safely and respectfully. Participants will also practise communication strategies that can support more positive interactions with the person living with dementia.
