As a continuation of the Transforming Dementia Care Series Part 1, participants will be introduced to an easy method to appraise how well current care practices create a healthy social psychology that enables the older person with dementia to thrive in an institutional care setting. Participants will consider the impact of current services on the psychological wellbeing of individuals and identify and implement small scale person centred approaches that can have significant impact on the care team and the older person, including persons with dementia.

| Target Audience | This course is intended for Supervisory and management staff in nursing home, intermediate and long term care facilities, with a role in influencing systems, processes, treatment plans and culture that promote quality care within their care unit and at the organisational level.
Participants are recommended to attend the 1-day workshop on Transforming Dementia Care the Person Centred Way (Intermediate Level) prior to this workshop. |
