Dementia Singapore is seeking a creative and dynamic Content Specialist to help grow DementiaHub.SG – Singapore’s first one-stop resource portal on dementia. Dementia Hub is positioned as a community-facing resource platform providing credible informational support to persons with dementia, caregivers, care practitioners and the community to navigate through the dementia journey and bring about a more dementia-inclusive society.

In this role, you get to play an active and pivotal role to publish useful content continuously  improve the quality of resources and interactive experience of the portal. You will be responsible for helping the team build a stronger online presence through the creation and dissemination of high-quality content to captivate and engage readers who have been impacted by dementia.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Editorial, Creative and Technical activities on DementiaHub.SG
  • Develop a robust cross-platform content plan and ensure a consistent publishing schedule
  • Write, proofread & publish engaging content posts. Curious about testing out other formats of content, writing styles and data collection techniques.
  • Proactive ground-sensing compelling content topics and sources within communities impacted by dementia to ideate and deliver refreshing new content themes to support these communities.
  • Distil web analytics and SEO insights to implement strategies to create greater online presence.
  • Build relationships with volunteer writers and industry expert reviewers to motivate more curated content. Excavate new content sources through inter-agency collaboration and content partnerships.
  • Manage external vendors to continuously improve site UX and browsing experience.
  • Build brand awareness through activities on social media and strategic partnerships and collaboration.
  • Experienced with Content Asset Management across multiple channels.

Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science or related fields including marketing or communications.
  • Min 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role. Experience in social service sector is optional.
  • Excellent copywriting, writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable with computers and proficient in HTML and Photoshop.
  • Familiar with content marketing and proficient with distilling insights from web tracking tools such Google Analytics. Experienced with SEO optimization has prior experience with implementing a successful SEO strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance, knowledge and user support in all aspects of IT to ensure the company’s business gets maximum benefit from IT systems.
  • Provide technical support to Desktop, Local Area Network (LAN/WiFi) and all business applications.
  • Perform system changes and developments to any of Company’s systems and applications to agreed standards and timescales.
  • Install standard business desktop/laptop Images to an agreed standard.

The Advocacy & Communications team at Dementia Singapore plays a key role in transforming the society’s perception and attitudes towards dementia. The team is responsible for communications relating to the corporate identity of Dementia Singapore, including reputation management, media relations, corporate messaging and the production of corporate publications and collateral.

We are looking for a Senior Executive with 5 years of experience in corporate communications, branding and media management.

  • Ensures that all materials present a clear, unified, and positive image for Dementia Singapore.

  • Prepare internal and external statements including news releases and speeches.
  • Foster relationships with key media contacts to drive and influence media coverage and exposure for Dementia Singapore.

  • Provide intervention such as psychoeducation, supportive counselling and service referral. Able to administer Advance Care Planning will be a bonus.
  • Manage and facilitate Peer Support Group for Caregivers of Persons with Dementia.
  • Plan and develop Peer Support network amongst caregivers for Persons with Dementia.
  • Collate and involve in the preparation of data and statistics for programme evaluation and reporting purposes.
  • Liaise and collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals and external service providers for holistic care management.

Requirements:

  • Technical Competencies:
    • Preferably with degree in an allied health profession/social work.
    • Good oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.
    • Ability to run and facilitate Community of Practice (CoP) will be an added advantage.
    • Experience in supervision will be an added advantage.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Passionate about dementia care and working with people.
    • Prior working experience in dementia care will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide casework support towards persons with dementia and their family not limited to discussion on care preferences/plans with persons with dementia, psychoeducation to help persons with dementia to understand their condition, information and referral, liaising with external agencies, case recording
  • To liaise with other colleagues within social services and with professionals in hospitals/agencies/organization to commission appropriate services to facilitate agreed plans for people with dementia and their caregivers
  • To prepare reports, attend and participate in Case Conferences, Planning and Review meetings as required

  • Assist with therapy under supervision of the healthcare professionals.

  • Prepare consumables or samples for activities.
  • Perform admin work and documentation such as maintenance of float, admission registration, monitor grants’ KPIs, capturing of outcome measures, etc.
  • Screen and assess Persons with Dementia and Persons with Young On-set Dementia for programme suitability.
  • Provide support for caregivers of clients attending programme through informal support group and training sessions.
  • Provide supervision to junior staff – Programme Coordinators and Programme Assistants
  • Provide orientation and guidance to volunteers/junior staff.
  • Assist to oversee Club operations.
  • Facilitate in introduction of pilot therapies for clients attending programme.
