JUNE 2019

As we roll on towards the halfway point of the year each June, it’s worth taking some time to look back on what we’ve accomplished so far – a mid-year review of sorts. In the fight against dementia, it’s worth celebrating the small wins; helping someone new understand more about dementia; having a good day with our loved ones; finding an effective way to connect with a person living with dementia.

So far, we’ve rolled out new initiatives and programmes, like Enabling EDIE, which enables participants to see through eyes of a person living with dementia. Using technology, we can bridge the gaps between the experiences of someone living with dementia and the people around them, helping caregivers and the general public empathise better with the condition.

Moving forward, it’s important to keep finding ways to help others understand dementia better and combat the stigma around the condition. Every one of us can make a difference, by taking a few minutes to share our experiences with someone who doesn’t know much about the condition. Together, we can make living in Singapore a better experience for those living with dementia.

Help us to spread the word by sending this to anyone you know who would be interested in reading this e-newsletter. They can also subscribe to receive future issues.
