JUNE 2020

Our lives and routines have been disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, with many of us working from home, practicing safe distancing and restricting our movement. As we slowly embrace the “new norm”, ADA too has been adapting and finding new ways to continue reaching out to the dementia community.
One of our milestones during this period was the launch of the ADA Memo, to target our loved ones with dementia who might unintentionally flout Circuit Breaker measures. Read more about it in the story below. Additionally, we’ve also continued learning and introducing new ways to reach out to you in your homes, both online and offline.
As Singapore emerges from the Circuit Breaker and enters Phase One of Re-Opening, we hope to continue keeping our clients, caregivers and the rest of the ADA community engaged. Be updated with our latest advisory, and we look forward to seeing you in person soon!

Building A Dementia-Friendly Kebun Baru
Through actively seeking the voices and perspectives of persons with dementia, ADA embarked on its journey to build an inclusive, dementia-friendly community in Kebun Baru. Some stand-out initiatives include the Wayfinding Project, a mural-painting project at HDB blocks, and the “Talk to Me” collaborative series of videos featuring inter-generational conversations. JADe Goes Digital!
To help keep persons with dementia engaged during the COVID-19 Circuit Breaker period, ADA created some digital resources as part of our Journey with the Arts & Dementia (JADe) programme.
