Musim Mas Bolsters Support For ADA With S$1 Million Donation 1024 614 Dementia Singapore

ADA has received a generous S$1 million donation from Musim Mas Holdings to further support our work in caring for persons with dementia especially through the COVID-19 pandemic.

ADA is one of five Singapore-based organisations who each received a donation of S$1 million through Musim Mas’ “Project Onward”, a multi-million-dollar care fund to support Singapore’s move forward out of COVID-19, and to demonstrate solidarity and commitment to vulnerable families and individuals in need during this period.

“The Government’s swift and decisive policies meant that most Singaporeans are able to cope with the aftershocks of Covid-19. However, we recognise there are many less-privileged families and individuals who need more help now,” said Mr Alvin Lim, chief financial officer and executive director of Musim Mas Holdings.

“We hope this cash donation will inspire and empower these organisations to rise above the uncertainties brought about by the pandemic, and to continue serving their communities with fervour,” he added.

The donation marks another milestone in the partnership between Musim Mas and ADA. Last year, Musim Mas donated S$1 million to ADA to support new therapies and programmes, as well as to provide subsidies for our clients living with dementia who may not be able to afford our daycare centre fees.

Mr Lim said the company was moved by ADA’s continuous efforts to serve the dementia community despite facing multiple challenges caused by the COVID-19 situation.

It was ADA CEO Mr Jason Foo who inspired Musim Mas to recognise that there were many more causes that needed assistance.

Mr Foo said: “With (Musim Mas’) support, we will be able to bring more quality dementia care programmes, services, and support to persons with dementia and caregivers, especially in these challenging times.

This year, the donations will also go towards helping the Metta Welfare Association, The Majurity Trust, The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund (STSPMF) and the Singapore General Hospital.

ADA would like to thank Musim Mas for renewing its support and endorsement of our work in caring for persons with dementia and the community.
