Congratulations to our outstanding staff members who clinched Silver Awards at this year’s Singapore Health Quality Service Awards 2020!

Launched in 2011 and held annually by the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre, the Singapore Health Quality Service Awards (SHQSA) is a nationwide platform that honours healthcare professionals who have demonstrated remarkable commitment in delivering quality care and excellent service. ADA was a first-time entrant for this year’s Awards, which was held on 14 January 2020.

Attended by Mr Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, ADA staff who received Silver Awards include:

  • Geraldine Sim, Café Supervisor at ADA Café
  • Ruth Wong, Programme Lead, Community Enabling
  • Karen Lim, Assistant Manager, Community Enabling
  • Wong Sze Chi, Programme Executive, Community Enabling
  • Kamala d/o Samy M L, Senior Nursing Aide at New Horizon Centre (Tampines)

“I am extremely proud that not just one, but three of my dedicated team members were honoured with the Silver Award – well done ladies! At the end of the day, Community Enabling is about ensuring that our entire dementia community is living with empowerment and dignity. Receiving these awards is a bonus in our work, and we’re very happy to be recognised by our peers and partners in our efforts to build a dementia inclusive society,” said Francis Wong, Head of Community Enabling.

“I was pleasantly surprised to have received the Silver Award, and happy that both ADA and my peers in the industry recognise my contributions. This definitely encourages and spurs me to continue doing my best,” said Geraldine Sim, Café Supervisor at ADA Café.
